Following the closely-fought independence referendum and the subsequent Smith Commission, Scottish devolution remains very much in the political spotlight. So too does the energy sector – with rapidly falling oil prices; uncertainty about future support for renewables; and a growing divide between Westminster and Holyrood on fracking, to name just a few issues.

Under this backdrop, Cicero Group was delighted to welcome Fergus Ewing MSP for a roundtable discussion hosted on Tuesday 24 March.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the event provided an opportunity for Mr Ewing to outline his thoughts around the long-term energy financing and infrastructure debate. In addition, the Scottish Minister for Business, Energy & Tourism also outlined his thoughts ahead of the 2015 General Election.
