As part of Cicero Group’s series of events with influential campaigners ahead of the EU Referendum, we welcomed Matthew Elliott, CEO of Vote Leave, for an ‘In conversation’ discussion.

The event provided an opportunity for participants to engage with a key member of the campaign battling to be designated as the official Leave campaign group, and to hear why Mr Elliott believes the UK will be better off outside of the European Union.

Mr Elliott discussed the campaign so far, the effect that Boris and other mainstream politicians will have as they enter the debate, and the possible exit options for the UK. He also debated the economic impact of a ‘Brexit’ over the short and long-term, and outlined the regional campaigning work being done to win over voters across the country, before taking questions from the audience.

The event was chaired by Cicero Group Executive Director Tom Frackowiak and took place under the Chatham House Rule.
