Imran Hussain, Labour

Imran Hussain, the first person in his family to go to university, is a trained barrister and a founder of the charity MAGIC. Hussian, who was born and raised in Bradford, has served on the Bradford council for the past 12 years and is now the Deputy Leader of the council.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Conservative

After receiving his MBA from the University of Bradford, Iftikhar Ahmed has worked in Britain, Pakistan and Dubai for leading sector companies. Before being nominated as the conservative PPC for Bradford East, he was President of the Bradford Conservative Association.

Owais Rajput, UKIP

Owais Rajput left the Labour party to officially join UKIP in the November of 2014. Rajput, who previously lived in South Africa, has a Master’s degree in International Politics and Security Studies from the University of Bradford and is currently working on his PhD.  He has also done specialist work for the Home Office and European Commission aimed at lowering the risk of the radicalisation of young people.
