Pramod Subbaraman was born and raised in India is a trained dentist. Subbaraman moved to the UK in 2005 when an invitation was issued to Indian dentists to move and help ease the shortage of NHS dentists.
Neil Hay has worked as a self-employed business man building his own large organisation retail business. Nay was first Convener of North Liberton before becoming constituency organiser for Edinburgh Southern and Organiser of the SNP City Association. As an active member of the SNP independence campaign, Hay served as the Yes Scotland lead organiser for Edinburgh Southern and managed two SNP Council elections.
